In 2017, Alan Mainer (left), commander of American Legion Post 56, presented former County Commissioner Bill Wiseman with a certificate marking him as a 50-year continuous member of the American Legion. Wiseman died on Feb. 8 at the age of 91.
Marshall Dark Jr., left, died on Aug. 30 at age 90. In 2016, Dark retired from many years of active membership with the Marion Rotary Club. Bill Warren (right) was president of the club at that time and he presented the Rotarian Emeritus Award to Dark.
