Decoration at Bethlehem Community Cemetery is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of August, which falls on the 23rd of this year. Westmoreland Funeral Home is once again putting up a funeral tent to provide shelter to collect donations for cemetery maintenance. Someone will be available to answer questions and receive donations starting the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 21 and continue today, Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23. Donations are necessary to fund cutting and trimming for cemetery maintenance and to honor those buried there. The cemetery is an IRS-recognized nonprofit corporation registered with the state of North Carolina with no paid staff. Donations should be fully deductible.
