Senate Bill 257 would permit the N.C. State and UNC Chapel Hill athletic departments to participate for the first time in the tax revenue distribution that could reach up to $5.8 million each. Also potentially eligible for up to $5.8 million is Appalachian State, East Carolina and UNC Charlotte.
