The Rotary Club of Marion Foundation, along with Centro Unido Latino-Americano, announced eight grants totaling $10,250 that have been made to local nonprofit organizations as part of the club’s small grant process. McDowell County EMS was awarded $1,500 for their lockbox project for aged or medically fragile senior citizens, access to secure lockboxes. The lockbox information and code will be stored in the 911 system for emergency responders to render emergency care. Rotarian Steve Jones presented the check to EMS representatives.
