On Wednesday, Spencer Elliott, the city of Marion’s chief building and fire official, confirmed to The McDowell News that this structure, which has never been used, has been permitted as a standalone Starbucks.

Spencer Elliott, the city of Marion’s chief building and fire official, said a permit has been issued for the construction of a Firehouse Subs at that location. A dental office is planned for the back part of the property.
