On Friday, a ceremony was held at the 30-acre site for the new hotel, restaurant and convenience store complex that will be built along Interstate 40 near Exit 86 and N.C. 226 South. The ground-breaking included officials from the city of Marion, McDowell County, the McDowell Economic Development Association (MEDA), the Marion Business Association and the McDowell Chamber of Commerce.
