In October, the Old Fort Board of Aldermen held the regular meeting at the just completed McDowell Technical Community College Workforce Education Center at the former Rockett Building on East Main Street in downtown Old Fort. At the meeting were, from left, Town Administrator Renee Taylor, Alderman Jamie Grindstaff, Mayor Pro Tem Iretha Hancock, Mayor Pam Snypes, Alderwoman Erin Adams, Police Chief and Alderman Melvin Lytle.
