Getting your family’s sleep schedule back to normal after the summer break isn’t difficult if you follow these helpful tips. Gradually getting your family to wake up earlier is the best way to get used to the early start for school. It also helps you discover what the perfect bedtime is for your kids. Practice school routines early to ease anxiety. Identifying worries early and practicing key routines can help prepare before the first day arrives. Establishing a wind-down routine will ensure that your kids are ready to sleep when it gets to bedtime. This can be as simple as reading a book or listening to relaxing music. Don’t allow your kids to watch TV in bed, do schoolwork on their beds, or play on their beds. This will cause their minds to start associating their bed with being awake. Blue light can affect a person’s sleep, so your kids should avoid looking at screens at least an hour before bed to help them relax.
