This is the inside of one of the kennels at Sugarbear’s Sweet Retreat. There is polyaspartic flooring throughout the facility that makes cleaning much easier and less susceptible to disease. In addition, the drains make cleaning easier. The bottom walls of all the kennels are sealed off from each other.

The business is named after the Brantons’ beloved West Highland Terrier named Sugarbear, who was diagnosed the Friday before Christmas with an inoperable liver tumor. The Brantons had to make the dreaded decision the day after Christmas when she stopped eating and drinking. Sugarbear was 15.
