On March 4, the Marion location of Great Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics started seeing patients for the first time. It is the first pediatric dental specialty practice in McDowell County.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently for the new location of Marion Family Dental, which moved from its old Morgan Street location to the new professional park at 1613 Sugar Hill Road. The practice moved into the new facility on March 1.

In the Great Smiles Pediatric building, there is around 1,000 square feet of leftover space, and in the identical Marion Family Dental building, (pictured), there is around 2,500 square feet of leftover space. There is room in both buildings that can be rented out for other purposes, such as a medical specialist, a family doctor or some other kind of professional office.
