The U.S. Forest Service held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon for the reopening of Catawba Falls. Access to the falls area has been closed for two years for trail upgrades allowing visitors a safer experience vising the falls.

Members of the community, local and state politicians and forest service workers attended the ceremony.
