The festival will feature six doughnut vendors: Lil Tasties of Hickory, the Donut Hut of Rose Hill, DoughP Doughnuts of Asheville and of course, Mr. Bob’s of Marion and Mr. Bob’s of Old Fort. The sixth one will be Dunkin’ Donuts, which will open a restaurant on Sugar Hill Road in Marion. This photo is from last year’s festival.

The Buskits is a two-piece band that plays folk, rock and the blues. It is comprised of two young brothers, Andrew and Kyle Hernandez, from western North Carolina and they will play at the Carolina Donut Festival. They are 9 and 11 years old and often perform in downtown Asheville.

Sloane Letourneau is the other young musician lined up. He is a 12-year-old singer, guitar player and working actor. He has been playing guitar for almost six years and singing and acting for three years. He has played at the S.C. State Fair, area breweries and other venues in the Carolinas and even the Whiskey a Go Go in West Hollywood, Calif. and LA Live, according to festival organizers Robert Masiello and Leisa Morgan.
