The pews at New Testemant Baptist Church in Old Fort were filled with boxes full of Christmas gifts for over 100 families in McDowell County. The church also gave out Christmas dinners.
Families in need of Christmas gifts this year were blessed by the efforts of McDowell County's Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club and New Testemant Baptist Church in Old Fort.
Over 100 families were served this Christmas season with gifts and food thanks to a Toy Run sponsored by the Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club of McDowell County. The group raised over $10,000 to bring toys to needy kids this year, and partnered with the New Testament Baptist Church of Old Fort to distribute those gifts. The Ghost Riders Motorcyle Club bought bicycles, toys, clothes and other necessities from money they raised this year during their annual toy run. They partnered with a local church to distribute the gifts to needy families.
Members of the Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club traded their helmets for Santa hats again this year as they raised over $10,000 to help buy Christmas for over 100 families this year.
