22 Pets Bungee.jpg
Bungee is a female, long-haired calico born March 2008. Bungee needs to be rehomed because her quality of life has taken a turn for the worse. She is being bullied by two other cats in her household. She is so mild mannered and sweet that she refuses to defend herself. As a result, she spends all of her time in hiding. She won’t come out even to eat. She has to be put in a bedroom by herself overnight so she can eat and use the litter box. This is not the way Bungee should be spending her senior years. Bungee is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and enjoy sitting by the window in the sunshine. She is great with dogs and other cats. She is shy with people and is not one to be in your lap. She will be happiest being appreciated for her beauty and given room to spread her wings. Her adoption fee is $50.
22 Pets Cinder.jpg
This is Cinder. Cinder's life has been far from perfect. He was born to a feral cat colony in circumstances less from ideal. An infected eye got him into rescue where he quickly became friendly and one of the most loving kittens his foster mom has ever had the pleasure to take in. His eye is healing and his long coat is going from an icky mess to a silky shine as he receives the nutrition he needs. Cinder's imperfection lies inside his body. He is feline leukemia positive. He was born this way. As a result most people will not consider adopting him. But feline leukemia is no longer considered a death sentence. Cats with FeLV can live until a ripe old age; many infected senior cats pass as a result of problems not associated with their infection. Feline leukemia is called "the friendly cat" disease because it is commonly spread from cat to cat through casual contact, such as grooming or sharing food or water. So Cinder needs to be in a home where he is the only cat. FeLV is only harmful to cats; it is not transmitted to any other pet, or to humans. Cinder deserves a chance at a wonderful life despite his unlucky beginning. He cannot be kept in foster care because all of our fosters have multiple cats. He needs to be the only cat in the household. His adoption fee was $25.
22 Pets Sneakers.jpg
Sneakers is a male tuxedo about 3 years old. He was a feral cat who was altered as part of a trap, neuter and return program. Sneakers has beautiful markings, white on all paws and a white diamond between his eyes. Sneakers has become extremely friendly in the last two years and craves attention. He lives at a pet hotel and doggie day care and greets most customers upon arrival. He is so friendly that he will go right up to a dog. This is worrisome as some dogs don’t like cats. We seek to find an indoor home where Sneakers can be safe and happy. Sneakers would do well in a quiet home with people he can trust during his transition into a family cat. He loves to be petted and scratched, and is getting used to being picked up. His adoption fee is $50.
