EARLY FINISH: bubba Wallace (23) spins out during the Busch Light Clash NasCar exhibition race at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday. Denny Hamlin won the race that NasCar hurried into a one-day show to avoid a dangerous "Pineapple express" storm headed toward California. Hamlin started from the pole and led 59 of the 151 laps. NasCar only planned to run heat races Saturday, with the main event on Sunday. but with heavy rains and flooding expected, NasCar eliminated the heats, set the field of 23 by practice speeds, and started the race just 30 minutes after qualifying.
STORM SHORTENED: A fallen tree branch is shown on the 18th fairway at Pebble beach Golf Links before Sunday's scheduled final round of the AT&T Pebble beach National Pro-am. The fourth round was originally postponed until Monday, but with bad weather still threatening, Wyndham Clark (photo above), who led after the first three rounds, was declared the winner. Clark's final stroke was to tap in for birdie Saturday. That gave him a course record 12-under 60 and a one-shot lead over Ludvig aberg. Clark picked up the $3.6 million payoff.
