Even though the Mountain Glory Festival was canceled, the tickets for the quilt raffle are still available, and the show is taking place now at MACA.
Though inclement weather forced the cancellation of this year's Mountain Glory Festival, the Mountain Glory Quilters' Guild Annual Quilt Show will continue as planned through the month of October at the McDowell Arts Council Association center at 50 S. Main St. in downtown Marion, according to a news release.
The show of more than 20 handmade quilts is on display in the Gallery at MACA, 50 S. Main St., for the month of October. This year's Raffle Quilt "Lush" (pieced by Sherry Yeager and quilted by Opal Woody) can be viewed in the collection.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase in the gallery during regular operating hours and will also be available during box office hours for "Mary Poppins Jr."
A guild member will be selling tickets in the gallery during those hours, giving theatergoers another opportunity to participate.
Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds support the Mountain Glory Quilters' Guild. The last day to purchase tickets is Friday, Oct. 30, according to the news release.
Community members are encouraged to stop by MACA to view the quilts and purchase tickets.
For more information, contact MACA at 828-652-8610 or visit the gallery at 50 S. Main St. in Marion.
