Report: Traffic stop leads deputy to meth, marijuana and paraphernalia.

A Marion woman faces drug charges after a traffic stop, the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Deputy Steven McPeters charged Jessica Ann Duncan, 24, of Spring Street, Marion, with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Friday, Nov. 8, McPeters stopped a vehicle on North McDowell Avenue for traffic violations. Duncan was a passenger in the car.

McPeters searched the suspect and her belongings and came away with .5 gram of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Marion police officers issued traffic citations to the driver of the automobile.

Duncan got a $2,500 bond.
